Frequently Asked Questions

EU AI Act readiness, in plain answers.

What “ready” means, who it applies to, what we deploy, and where the line between evidence and certification sits.

What does “EU AI Act Ready” actually mean?+

It means your public surface — your website — carries visible, structured, machine-readable evidence about your AI: what it does, where it is disclosed, who is responsible, what is documented, and what proof exists.

Important: “Ready” is about readiness, not certification. We make the evidence visible, structured, traceable, and inspectable. We do not certify that you comply.

Do you certify EU AI Act compliance?+

No. We do not certify compliance, and we never claim that a setup satisfies the EU AI Act.

What we do is narrower and verifiable: we deploy the public evidence layer that compliance, procurement, and AI systems look for — disclosure, governance routing, provenance, and machine-readable proof. We support readiness. The legal determination of compliance remains with you and your advisors.

When is the deadline?+

2 August 2026 is the date our work is built around for AI transparency obligations.

The EU AI Act phases in over time, but the transparency expectations that show up on a public surface are the ones buyers, auditors, and procurement teams will start checking first — which is exactly where an evidence gap becomes visible.

We’re a non-EU AI provider entering the EU. Does this apply to us?+

Yes — and this is our core focus. If you place an AI system on the EU market or your AI output reaches EU users, you are inside scope even without an EU office.

AiVenture acts as your EU-side point of presence for readiness: we stand up the public evidence layer on your behalf so that EU buyers, procurement, and AI systems can find, read, and verify it — clearing the most common reason non-EU providers get filtered out before a contract even starts.

What exactly do you deploy on our site?+

The missing public layer:

  • AI disclosure and a public AI policy route
  • Governance routing and human-oversight signals
  • Provenance records and an authority file (authority.json)
  • Machine-readable proof (ai-proof.json)
  • SHA-256 fingerprints and OpenTimestamps anchors
  • AI-readable evidence files structured for machines and humans

It runs at the edge, so it adds the layer without rebuilding your existing website.

What is the “one setup, two outcomes” offer?+

A single setup makes your public surface EU AI Act Ready — and the AI-readable trust layer is included free with it.

Compliance leads; the trust layer comes with it. You are buying readiness for the regulation. The fact that the same evidence makes your site easier for AI systems to read is a bonus you don’t pay extra for.

What are ai-proof.json and authority.json?+

They are machine-readable evidence files placed on your public surface.

ai-proof.json carries verifiable proof signals — fingerprints and timestamp anchors — that let an inspecting system confirm what was published and when. authority.json declares who is responsible and where governance lives. Together they let an AI system or a human auditor read your readiness without guessing.

What do SHA-256 fingerprints and OpenTimestamps anchors do?+

A SHA-256 fingerprint is a unique signature of a document — change one character and the signature changes, so anyone can confirm the file is exactly what you published.

An OpenTimestamps anchor records that the fingerprint existed at a specific point in time, anchored independently. Together they turn “trust us” into “verify it yourself” — the difference between a slogan and evidence.

Why does AI search matter for compliance?+

Because AI systems are now part of the trust chain. Buyers, auditors, journalists, and procurement teams increasingly ask an AI assistant about your company before they ask you.

If those systems cannot find your governance evidence, they cannot explain or cite your readiness correctly. AI search readiness is the by-product of the evidence layer — not the product. When the surface is transparent and machine-readable, AI systems can find, understand, cite, and verify it.

How does setup work, and how long does it take?+

We scope your public surface, identify the evidence gap, and deploy the layer at the edge. Because it does not require rebuilding your site, a standard setup is fast and runs automatically and non-stop once live.

Exact timeline depends on scope — get in touch and we’ll map it to your case.

What does it cost?+

Pricing is scoped to your setup and the number of public surfaces involved. The AI-readable trust layer is included free with the EU AI Act readiness setup.

Tell us about your company on the contact page and we’ll return a scoped quote — no obligation.
